Dutch bank buys SciComp software

Austin-based SciComp Inc. says ABN AMRO Bank N.V. has purchased licenses for its SciFinance and SciXL software products.

SciFinance enables financial analysts to automatically generate pricing models without manual programming. The software provides more accessible research options for analysts and new model development of pricing codes.

SciXL automatically integrates SciFinance-produced pricing models into Microsoft Corp.'s Excel spreadsheets. SciXL builds Excel add-in programs and custom spreadsheets for pricing codes.

SciComp provides software that automatically calculates mathematics and scientific computing through automation. ABN AMRO, based in The Netherlands, is a banking company with assets of more than $500 billion.
